Oral Reading Fluency Assessment, Grades Prep – 1

A regular component of ‘The Writing Road to Reading’ program is “Reading for Spelling” and “Reading for Reading” to increase word fluency.

The Fluency Practice Word Lists and Spalding Series Level 1 & 2 Word Lists included in the manual provide practice in developing text fluency for beginning readers in Prep – 1.

Once students have learned the first 30 phonograms, they are ready to begin working with these high-frequency vocabulary lists. This manual has complete directions for daily oral reading fluency practice.
